B7| L7 Hex Head Setscrews Machined from European Stock Blanks

Victory Fasteners produced 1½″–8UN × 2¾″ Grade B7 | L7 hex head setscrews from European-manufactured B7 | L7 hexagon blanks held in stock. Cutting to length and screw cutting were completed in-house, supported by EN 10204 3.1 certification, Mill Test Certificates and material traceability.

The offshore application specified a maximum hardness of 32 HRC, making material selection and supporting documentation central to the requirement.

The Requirement

The project called for fully threaded hex head setscrews with the following specification:

• Diameter 1½″
• Thread 8UN
• Length 2¾″
• Material grade B7
• Head style Hexagon
• Maximum hardness 32 HRC
• Documentation EN 10204 3.1 certification and Mill Test Certificates

European B7 | L7 Blanks Available from Stock

Victory Fasteners selected European-manufactured B7 | L7 hexagon blanks from its stock inventory, providing a direct route into machining without waiting for blanks to be sourced.

Holding suitable bolting blanks allows Victory Fasteners to respond efficiently to bespoke fastener requirements, combining documented material with in-house engineering capability.

In-House Cutting and Screw Cutting

The stock blanks were cut to the specified 2¾″ length, then screw cut in-house to produce the required 1½″–8UN thread.

This approach brought material supply and machining together through a single source, maintaining continuity between the original certified blank and the finished setscrew.

Certification and Material Traceability

Quality documentation was a key part of this offshore requirement. The B7 blanks were supported by EN 10204 3.1 certification and Mill Test Certificates, with the specified maximum hardness of 32 HRC forming part of the material requirement.
