Project Overview

Victory Fasteners was commissioned to supply a production batch of M12 x 65 DIN 6921 hexagon flange bolts in 12.9 condition, following the successful delivery of an initial prototype order. The first run consisted of 50 pieces; this subsequent phase required a scaled production of 350 bolts, with strict requirements for dimensional precision, material certification, and traceability.

Material Selection and Certification

The fasteners were manufactured from oversize European bar stock in 12.9 condition, ensuring high mechanical strength from the outset.

• All material was supplied with original COP mill certification, confirming quality at source.

• Victory Fasteners issued a full 3.1 test certificate, covering tensile strength, elongation, yield, hardness, and reduction of area.

• Each fastener was supported by the company’s traceability guarantee, providing complete accountability from raw material through to finished component.

In-House Precision Machining Process

All machining was undertaken at Victory Fasteners’ own precision engineering facility, maintaining control at every stage.

1. Turning – The oversize bar was turned down to finished shank diameter using a Doosan Lynx CNC turning centre, achieving precise dimensional tolerances.

2. Threading – Threads were produced using single-point CNC threading, ensuring accuracy and repeatability in compliance with metric standards.

3. Milling – The flange head was machined on Victory’s CNC milling equipment, producing the required DIN 6921 hexagonal geometry.

Strict in-process checks and dimensional verification were carried out throughout production, ensuring full conformance to specification.

Prototype to Production Scaling

This was the second batch of the component, following a successful prototype run of 50 pieces. The 350-piece production order demonstrated Victory Fasteners’ capability to seamlessly scale output while maintaining the same level of precision and certification.
