Victory Fasteners were commissioned to manufacture a batch of 150 bespoke M42 x 270 DIN 931 hex bolts, produced to meet strict dimensional, mechanical, and traceability requirements.

The Requirement

• Large-diameter hex bolts (M42 x 270)
• High-strength Grade 10.9 material
• Full certification including 3.1 and mill certificates
• Consistent, high-precision thread quality
• Corrosion-resistant finishing
• A single-source supplier to manage manufacturing through to final coating

Our Approach

In-House CNC Single-Cut Threading

Threads were produced using CNC single-point (single-cut) threading, ensuring:

• Exceptional thread accuracy and repeatability
• Clean, sharp thread profiles
• Full control over tolerances

This process is particularly effective for larger diameter fasteners, where precision is critical.

Material Traceability & Certification

All components were supplied with:

• 3.1 certification
• Mill Test Certificates (MTCs)

Providing full material traceability, essential for safety-critical and regulated applications.

Surface Treatment – GEOMET® 500A

To enhance corrosion resistance, the bolts were specified with:

• GEOMET® 500A plating

This advanced coating system offers:

• High-performance corrosion protection
• Uniform coverage on threaded components
• Suitability for demanding environments
